Solar cell

A solar cell (also called a photovoltaic cell) is a device which converts the energy of light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect. It is an ideal source which can supply unlimited power and is considered as a green, or say renewable energy nowadays. The CO₂ exhaust during the energy conversion is only 100g per watt. The usage of solar cell is believed to help reduce the greenhouse effect.
